Sleep Day

Well my worst fears came true and I had to drive to work in the white stuff. It had settled quite well by the time I left for work so with teeth gritted I set out. By the time I made the bypass it was like a blizzard and driving conditions were atrocious. Made it into work only to find I was working with Michelle R. (what a bonus). Zoe arrived late due to her living out in the sticks.
We didn't have to bad a night but the ward is closed due to the Norovirus and we added 5 more to the list during the night due to either vomiting or the squits. All 3 of us were dreading driving home as it had snowed heavily during the night and of course temps were below freezing.
Conditions driving home were treacherous. I think I drove home all the way between 10 and 20 mph. The roads were really icy and from Asda's roundabout to home was just sheet ice. Michelle, bless her heart, followed me all the way home to make sure I got home alright.
Came in, had breakfast and went to bed - slept quite well and am now up and about to get ready to go to work again and have the whole horrible journey once more.
